Germany officially known the Federal Republic of Germany is a country in Western and Central Europe. Germany is a federal parliamentary republic of sixteen states. The capital and largest city is Berlin. With more than 80 million inhabitants, it is the most populous member state and the largest economy of the European Union. Germany is in Western and Central Europe, bordering Denmark in the north, Poland and the Czech Republic in the east, Austria and Switzerland in the south, France and Luxembourg in the south-west, and Belgium and the Netherlands in the north-west. Most of Germany has a temperate seasonal climate in which humid westerly winds predominate. Winters are mild and summers tend to be cool. Germany has a social market economy with a highly qualified labour force, a large capital stock, a low level of corruption, and a high level of innovation. It has the largest national economy in Europe. Germany is famous for Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Albert Einstein. The country is also famous for its industry especially in car industry. Famous german car brends are Volkswagen, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW. Germany is also famous for its food adn drink products like meat products and beer. Rich in history, regional cultures and tradition, Germany offers tourists a wide array of attractions beginning with the recently reunifed capital in Berlin, easily-traversed Munich and its famous beer halls, as well as the romance and breathtaking scenery of a Rhine river cruise. Other major attractions include an array of art and history museums in Frankfort, the old world charm of Lubeck, and the Gothic splendor of Cologne.
