Ljubljana

Ljubljana is the capital and the largest city of Slovenia with approximately 270.000 residents. It's lying between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea with an area of 163.8 square kilometres. Slovenia became independent in 1991. from Communist Yugoslavia and entered the Europe Union in 2004. The main tourist attraction of the capital is Ljubljana Castle which stands on the hill above the city. Mighty walls and towers hide a rich history. Ljubljana lays on the river Ljubljanica which river banks are filled with restaurants and chic bars.City hases two famous bridges.One is Dragon Bridge build in 1900. and the second is a footbridge crossing the river Ljubljanica called Butchers' Bridge where couples in love declare their love.The Bridge was officially opened in 2010.
