Romania

Romania is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeastern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea.[8] Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south. Bucharest is the capital and largest city. Population is more than 21 million people. Romania has a climate that is transitional between temperate and continental, with four distinct seasons. Romania is a secular state and has no state religion. However, an overwhelming majority of the country's citizens are Christian identified as Orthodox Christian. Country has beautiful landscape and protected areas are Danube Delta, Retezat National Park, Pietrosu Mare peak, Rodna National Park, Pietrosu Peak, Călimani Mountains, Piatra Craiului Mountains main ridge, Ceahlău Massif, the Bicaz Canyon, Trascău, Apuseni Mountains, Bucegi Mountains and Turda Gorges. The list of World Heritage Sites includes Romanian sites such as the Saxon villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, the Painted churches of northern Moldavia with their fine exterior and interior frescoes, the Wooden Churches of Maramureş, the Monastery of Horezu, the citadel of Sighişoara, and the Dacian Fortresses of the Orăştie Mountains. Other landmarks are Peleş Castle, Voroneţ Monastery, Unirii Square, the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Bran Castle, Brukenthal National Museum and many more.
