Bucharest

Bucharest is the capital city, cultural, industrial, financial centre and the largest city of Romani and it lies on the banks of the Dâmbovița River. Many treaties were signed in Bucharest like Russo-Turkish War treaty, Serbo-Bulgarian War treaty, Second Balkan War treaty, the treaty of alliance between Romania and the Entente and the treaty between Romania and the Central Powers. Bucharest has a humid continental climat. The city population is little less then 2 million inhabitants. Bucharest has a large number of landmarks buildings and monuments. The Palace of the Parliament is the most prominent building. The Palace houses the Romanian Parliament is the largest building in Europe and the second-largest in the world. Arcul de Triumf is also a well-known landmark in Bucharest. Many museums are part of the Romanian culture such as the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Museum of Art of Romania, Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa", Museum of the Romanian Peasant, National History Museum and Military Museum. There are a number of cultural festivals in Bucharest throughout the year. Bucharest is home to the Romanian National Opera, State Jewish Theatre, I.L. Caragiale National Theatre. There is also a large number of smaller theatres like the Comedy Theatre, the Nottara Theatre, the Bulandra Theatre, the Odeon Theatre, and the Constantin Tănase Revue Theatre. Most clubs and bars are located around the centre of the city, from Unification Square to Roman Square.
