Malta

Malta, officially the Republic of Malta is a Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the centre of the Mediterranean. Valletta is the capital city but the largest city is Birkirkara. Malta's population is more than 400.000 inhabitants. Malta has a Subtropical-Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm to hot summers. Rain occurs mainly in winter, with summer being generally dry. Malta has advertised itself as a medical tourism destination, and a number of health tourism providers are developing the industry. Malta has a long history of architecture, influenced by many different Mediterranean cultures over its history. Famous buildings and landmarska of Malta are SmartCity Malta, the M-Towers, Pendergardens, the Valletta Waterfront and Tigne Point, the Manoel Theatre, the Mosta Dome known as "Ir-Rotunda", Lower Barrakka Gardens, the Magisterial Palace, the Conventual Church of St. John in Valetta and many more. Malta is home to a numerous festivals and carnevals and the most famous is Mnarja, or l-Imnarja which is a national festival dedicated to the feast of Saints Peter and St. Paul.
