Podgorica is the capital and largest city of Montenegro with population of 170,000. Podgorica has typical Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers, and mild winters because it is located in the central Montenegro.Podgorica is mixture of various architectural styles. Through the centuries it had influence from Greeks and Romans to Ottoman and todays modern architecture. City hosts the Montenegrin National Theatre' which is the most significant theatre not only in Podgorica but in all of Montenegro and a number of museums and galleries such as Podgorica City Museum, Archaeological Research Centre, Museum of Marko Miljanov, Natural History Museum.There are two art gallerys, one in Petrović's Castle and the second in King Nicholas's castle.Podgorica is multiconfessional and multicultural city with ortodox and catholic churches and two islam mosques.
