Belgium

Belgium officially called the Kingdom of Belgium, is a federal state in Western Europe. The capital and the largest metropolitan area of the country is Brussels. Belgium is a founding member of the European Union and hosts the EU's headquarters, as well as those of several other major international organisations such as NATO. It has a population of more than 11 million people and it is home to two main linguistic groups, the Dutch-speakers, mostly Flemish, and the French-speakers, mostly Walloons, plus a small group of German-speakers. Belgium is a constitutional, popular monarchy and a parliamentary democracy. The country is divided in to three regions the Flemish Region (subdivided into five provinces), the Walloon Region (subdivided into five provinces) and the Brussels-Capital Region. Belgium is bordered with Germany, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.The climate is oceanic with significant precipitation in all seasons.Belgium is famous for it folklor. Many carnevals are held in Belgium such as the Carnival of Binche, the Carnival of Aalst and many more. Belgium is also famous for it food prodacts such as Brussels waffles, commonly known as Belgian waffles outside of Belgium, beer, chocolate and french fries. Contrary to their name, french fries also originated in Belgium. Along the football, whitch is the most famous sport in Belgium, there are cycling, tennis, swimming and judo.
