Tunis

Tunisia, officially the Tunisian Republic, is the northernmost country in Africa. It is a Maghreb country and is bordered by Algeria to the west, Libya to the southeast, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east. Country has a population of more than 10,5 million inhabitants. The capital and largest city is Tunis. Tunisia's climate is temperate in the north, with mild rainy winters and hot, dry summers. The south of the country is desert. The constitution declares Islam as the official state religion and requires the President to be Muslim. Tunisia has many buildings and landmarks such as the Great Mosque of Al-Zaytuna, Minaret of the Great Mosque of Kairouan, also known as the Mosque of Uqba, new Radés-La Goulette Bridge in Tunis, the Great Mosque of Kairouan, Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul, Sadiki College in Tunis, the National Opéra is located in downtown Tunis and many more. The most popular sport in Tunisia is football along with handball. Tunisia is a home to many festivals which are held through the year.
